Baby Shower
On Sunday December 14th, 2008 Mummy's friend Eiman arranged and organized a wonderful evening at the La Gondola Restaurant to celebrate my life and imminent arrival into the world. It was such a great evening with lots of laughs and good times. As you can see by the photos there were so many lovely gifts and a beautiful pink bootie cake (arranged by Eiman). The decorations were fun with little pink pacificers and "it's a girl decos" everywhere.
Mummy saved all the presents that you see on the table for me to open at Christmas time, so that I also had presents to open. I received so many wonderful gifts to cute clothes, heart beat blankets, great books from various parts of the world, rainforest bouncer seat, safari play mat and book, workout gear and shoes, changing pads, colorful mobiles....and much more! I feel very lucky and can't wait to get out into the world and try on all the cute outfits and play with all the cool stuff! At this stage my Mummy is 37 weeks pregnant.
You might ask what happened all to all the pink balloons - well they ended up being tied to Mummy's car, it was really funny....those friends know how to have a good time with a little cheekiness thrown in the mix. Enjoy the photos!

35 Weeks
Hello!
I am now growing hair on my head, not much but it is something! I now weigh close to three kilos ( 2.9 to be exact). All my organs are fully formed, except for my lungs which are still developing , and making more of the special (pleural) fluid. This special fluid will stop my lungs from collapsing when I am born and start to breathe air. Check out my latest scan, I know that it is not in color but I have now turned more of a pink color ( don't laugh!). Since there is now white fat build up under my skin, I have gone from being red to light pink! This fat is important as it will give me energy and will control my body temperature when I am born.
Just in case you were curious about my finger nail development, they have now reached the tips of my fingers. However, at this stage of my development my toe nails are lagging behind. I am not too concerned I know they will catch up. I am still in the head down position ready and waiting at the starting line of the birth canal....yes I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Another five weeks and I start my birth journey . My Mummy has even had practice contractions called Braxton Hicks, but I am not ready yet. She is going to help me arrive into the world, I am glad she is getting the practise!
My Mummy & Daddy are ready for my arrival they have set up my bassinet, changing table, bath, and car seat and have tried to work out all the gadgets so they know what to do when I arrive. Sounds like they are having fun!

Life at 29 weeks
Hello again!
I am now at 29 weeks of my development as a human being. I have to say I have been busy growing and developing as my Mummy progresses into her third trimester of her pregnancy. Not only am I gaining more weight and getting plumper but my sensory system is maturing. Today in particular I am practising seeing and focusing, in preparation for all the great things I am going to see when I am born. With my eyelids open I can focus on my hands and feet when I move them around. It makes me laugh and sometimes I get the hiccups, which Mummy can feel and then she laughs. I love hearing her laughing!
I really enjoy my nightly music sessions, Mummy puts some ear phones over her big belly and plays all kinds of lovely music for me. So far I have listened to classical music ; bach, mozart and beethoven. Also she plays me relaxation music from the rainforests and ocean. I like it because it relaxes me and I feel the sound waves in the special water that I am submerged in (amniotic fluid).
Attached is my latest scan of me at 29 weeks and I weigh @ 1.5 kilograms. Enjoy the pics! and I will chat again with you soon. I still do not have a name , as my parents have not decided yet , I think that they are going to wait until they see me. So until then you can call me bump.

Life at 23 weeks
At 23 weeks I have developed my sense of movement. I particularly enjoy it when Mummy is exercising and doing her Aqua FIT classes in the water. It is really good for my oxygen intake , especially now as I develop the important blood vessels in my lungs to help my breathing. I can't wait to be able to get out into the world and swim. My Mummy has brought two swimming costumes for me - both pretty and pink.
I am noticing specific sounds now. I really like hearing my Daddy laugh, when he puts his hand on Mummy's belly I give him the little kick to let him know I can hear him.
I am now the size of a large mango, I weigh in at 588 grams ( see my scan picture) . I am growing stronger everyday. I like this picture of me , it shows my profile and you can see my fist as I practice my latest kickboxing routine.

Notes from Inside the Belly
I wanted to show you how much I have grown with each scan. My first scan was taken when I was twelve weeks. By twelve weeks I have a heartbeat , it was measured at 147 bpm. My parents were so happy to hear a strong and healthy heart. At this stage they did not know I was a female (XX). This meant that my Mummy's egg (oocyte) was fertilized by Daddy's X- sperm, which produced me. I know that it was a real race to get to the Mummy's egg usually the Y -sperms are the fastest and get there quicker, and the X-sperm take their time., however the X-sperm are more viable and live longer! Anyway enough talking about my conception.....let me show you my first scan, when my parents saw me for the first time. You can see my head and body forming well, my major organs are strating to form. This scan makes me look like I have huge feet!

My Journey called Life
My Mummy (Samantha Kozak) and Daddy (George Kozak) tell me that I am now 27 weeks old. Which means that I am officially a human being and in case I arrive early I have a good chance of surviving in ICU! Yipeeeeeeeeee!
Let me tell you a bit about myself (I don't officially have a name yet, my parents are still deciding).
My Mummy had another one of those special scans, which tickle. I was happily having my morning snooze , and before I knew it I was being tickled, this really woke me up and I started to do my happy dance so my parents could see my "sweet dance moves" on the monitor. My Mummy told me that I am in the "head down" position, I was so worried when she first told me, but she explained to me and put my mind at ease. She said that being in the "head down" position is good for when I arrive into the world.
I have three more months until I am born into the world. I have to say it is getting a bit cramped in here as I am growing plumper and my lungs are getting strong. I even had hiccups yesterday, I heard my Mummy laughing and this made me hiccup more. I am starting to notice when it is dark and light. You might think I look a bit funny at the moment because my body is growing faster than my head. My brain cells used for conscious thought are now growing mature. This means that I am beginning to remember things and learn....yes I can hear you out there! I am learning more and more from my parents everyday about what the big wide world is all about.
Every day my Mummy rubs her tummy with special oil, and I love it. It feels like I am getting cuddles and I feel safe. I am looking forward to seeing my Mummy & Daddy , I wonder what they look like? I hear them talking and laughing , it sounds fun out there. My Daddy has a loud funny laugh, when he puts his hand on my Mummy's belly, I like to give his hand a little kick , it makes him laugh more.
Next entry I want to show you some of my photos! Until then, I must get back to my happy dance.
